2. Using the store

You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree to give us accurate and complete information, including your name, contact details and delivery details, and to keep your account details secure.

3. Products and compatibility

We work hard to describe and photograph our products accurately. Colours may look slightly different on different screens. Many cycling parts and electronics only fit certain bikes or devices, so please check compatibility before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us on WhatsApp or email and we will help based on the information you give us.

If a product is not as described, is defective or is not what you ordered, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act apply (see section 10).

4. Orders

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. We accept your order when we confirm it by email, WhatsApp or by dispatching the goods. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is out of stock, a price or description contains an obvious error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund you in full.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). The total price you must pay, including delivery, is shown at checkout before you pay. Prices and promotions can change, but the price you pay is the price shown when you place your order. Orders are processed after payment is confirmed. Payments are handled by secure third-party payment providers and we do not store your full card details.

If we discover a pricing error after you order, we will contact you and you may choose to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

6. Delivery

Delivery is covered in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates unless we confirm a specific date in writing. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or to your selected PUDO locker or delivery address.

7. Returns, cancellations and refunds

Returns, exchanges, cancellations and refunds are covered in our Return & Refund Policy, which includes our voluntary 30-day return period.

8. Orders for resale

Our standard online prices are for personal use. If you want to buy in bulk or for resale, please use our Bulk & Supply page or contact us.

9. Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, images, graphics, logos and the BicyclePartsZA name, belongs to BicyclePartsZA or its licensors and is protected by South African and international law. Third-party brand names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the products we sell. You may not copy, reproduce or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

10. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (including the right to goods that are of good quality and fit for purpose, and to return defective goods within six months), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (including the cooling-off right in section 44 where it applies), or any other South African law. If any part of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the law prevails.

11. Acceptable use

You agree to use the website lawfully. You may not attempt to hack, disrupt or overload the website, use it to send spam or malicious code, impersonate another person, or scrape or copy our content or product data by automated means without our permission. Automated tools and software agents must identify themselves and must not bypass our security measures.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, BicyclePartsZA is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or products. This does not limit our liability for goods that are defective or unsafe, for our gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit.

Many bicycle parts are safety-critical. Please make sure parts are fitted correctly, by a qualified bicycle mechanic if you are unsure, and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

13. Third-party links and tools

The website may link to third-party websites or tools. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

14. Relationship with Shopify

BicyclePartsZA is powered by Shopify, which provides the technology that runs this store. Your purchase is made directly with BicyclePartsZA. Shopify is not a party to your purchase and is not responsible for the products or services we sell.

15. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

16. Errors

If the website contains a typographical error, inaccuracy or omission about a product, price, stock or delivery, we may correct it and, where necessary, contact you about affected orders.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page is the current version, and updates apply to orders placed after the update date.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any complaint. You may also approach the National Consumer Commission or the relevant consumer tribunal or court. Where a court is needed, the courts with jurisdiction over Pretoria, Gauteng, apply, subject to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
